In Bohemia it is the oldest church which was built by the duke Bořivoj after 874. In the second half of 11th century the rotunda was reconstructed but it was demolished again in 1684 and built an extension of today's oblong navy and tower. Only a foundation has been preserved of the original Bořivoj's rotunda.
