Gravitation dam built in 1910 - 1919 on the Labe.
The reason for the building was the catastrophic flood in 1897. The dam is 45 m high and 224 m long. After finishing the buildingr there were found out leakages, which were treated by sealing with cement mortar, later by grouting and in 1929 by erection of protective wall.
In 1952 - 1959 was carried out the general repair of the dam. The water work serves as a protection against floods and it serves hydroenergetic purposes.
