Industrial Railway Museum The Industrial Railway Museum (MPZ) is a nonprofit organisation that conserves and restores various narrow-gauge railways. The MPZ currently operates in Brno and in Mladějov na Moravě, where about 11 kms of track with a gauge of 60 cm still lead through the beautiful landscape of the Svitavy region. The museum currently cares for more than 30 locomotives (including 5 steam engines) and several tens of historical carriages.

The activities of the museum include not only collecting but also documenting and displaying its pieces. These activities are performed in Brno where it also has its seat. Every summer the MPZ organizes several all-day activities for the public. The trains run mostly from Mladějov to Nová Ves and back. Most of these trains use steam engines. It is also possible to order a special train at any time. If you have any information or historical documents that in any way concern the use of narrow-gauge industrial railways, the MPZ would welcome cooperation with you.
